After a very tiring work week, me and my colleagues feel that we deserve a hearty sumptuous meal. It has been two consecutive Saturdays that out feet has led us down to one of the newest Italian resto in SM Fairview - Ristorante Bigoli :)

I super love their Italian Chicken, Strombolli and Bisteca Classic :) Can't wait for it to be Saturday again!!!

Etude House Cookie Blusher in Raspberry Tarte

Etude House is one of thr many Korean cosmetic and skin care brands that invaded our shores and boy oh boy! I'm glad they did :) I always pass by their stall here in SM Fairview but never really got the chance to buy any from them until last weekend.

Glad I did because I found one of the cutest blusher I've ever seen! It's their Cookie Blusher in Raspberry Tarte shade. There are a lot of blusher on display but this cutie caught my eyes.

The packaging is really cute, it makes you feel like a little princess (lol). I like the dome like cover as it gives enough space for the puff inside. Yes my dear, it has it's own applicator included. So no need to buy a separate brush!

When you look at it as it is, you might be a little hesitant because of the color. It's too pink, but fret not because when applied, it gives a very pretty flush on your cheeks (very Korean, hehe). It has silver shimmer so you also get that pretty highlights on your chekbones.

Texture is fine but may be a little powdery. I'd prefer using the puff because its soooo soft! There are annoying scent and I didn't feel any itchiness in my cheeks which is very good. Staying power is okay as it lasted on me for about 4-5 hrs. Not bad right? This pretty little thing only cost me Php328.

I fell in love with this blusher, same with the ribbon brush that I bought separately! I'm looking forward to buying more good stuff from Etude House. I would love to hear your recommendations very soon!

Weekend Hauls!

It's the weekend! After a long week of work, I am so excited for the weekend as I am missing the mall and need a lot of zzzzz's.

SM Fairview is in 3-day sale, yipee!!! Thank goodness it's payday! (lol). My good office buddies didn't let the opportunity go, so all of us went a shopping spree. I didn't buy much but I get to enjoy the day with friends. Below is my weekend haul from Yves Rocher and Etude House.

Hope you're all enjoying the weekend!!

VMV Hypoallergenics Matte Lipstick in Copa

Second to eyeliners, I love lipsticks. Right now, I think I have more than 6 and still counting! For me, lipstick add that confidence on your overall look :)

I have been lemming over this shade since last year but couldn't get one because its always out of stock. I'm very glad that I got my hands on this baby at 50% off! Not bad eh? It usually costs Php1050 but I got it for Php525.

NARS Schiap is more brighter and more neon while Copa is a little darker than Schiap but still bright (digs?). Anyway, I like its matte formula because its not drying like my NARS lippie. Just perfect if you want tht pop if color in your lips :)

Yves Rocher Pure System Spot Killing Patch

My zits are all ove the place (lol). These days, they have been a real pain in the neck and they keep on cropping up in the same place. I am desperate to find a solution to this nasty problem.

Then I found this patch from Yves Rocher that is designed to target pimples and make them disappear...pronto! Its the Yves Rocher Spot Killing Patch from their Pure System line. This line is specifically for acne prone skin (me likey ❤)

The patch can be bought for Php480 on any of the Yves Rocher branches. You'll get 24 patches that are sealed in an aluminun foil. There are clear instructions on the label so that you can maximize the usage of the product.

I was a little scared of trying this put because it might worsen my acne condition and it's a little pricey for a patch. Since I am on desperate measures, I had my fingers crossed when I was purchasing this :D so as soon as I got home, I cleaned my face and put 5 patches on my face (one patch for each pimple) and slept. The instructions said that it had to be on for 8 hrs at least. Lo and behold, after 8 hrs, my pimples got a little calmer. Not unlike before I have the patch on that they were all red and angry. The swelling has subsided and it seemed that they are going to heal very soon.

I like the patches, they are very useful especially when you have a big day ahead and pimple suddenly pops out of nowhere. Now, I am leaning towards having their entire Pure System line. Has anyone tried it? I wanna know if they really work :)

ArtDeco Eyeshadow Base

This post is long overdue and now I'd really have to put my foot down and finish it. I hope everyone's been safe over the past few weeks!

I have finished a tube of my very first eyeshadow primer from Tony Moly and decided to try a new one. I finally got to stop by The Beauty Bar at Trinoma and could not pass the opportunity to try ArtDeco's eyeshadow base. Let's go straight to the details!

As per ArtDeco's website: "The Eyeshadow Base with a soft, creamy
consistency prevents the deposition of Eyeshadow in the eyelid crease and makes the powder eyeshadows highly long-lasting, intense and brilliant. The eyeshadow is being applied easier, distributed better and lasts longer. This way, little particles cannot become loose, making it ideal for contact
lens wearers. The base calms reddened eyelids with Bisabolol and neutralizes the color of the eyelid. Vitamin E nourishes and protects the sensitive skin of the eyes. Suitable for all kind of eyeshadows. Free from
animal ingredients." www.artdeco.de

This baby costs Php450 for a 5ml jar. You might think that it's too small or little but this will go a long way. You will only need a little of it to apply on your lids. The consistency is creamy and it's a little shimmery. It has a faint scent that others may not like. The scent reminded me of men's cologne but I don't mind, it smelled nice :)

I have used ModelCo Eyeshadow Trio - Purple Haze Palette to try if it really does make the color more intense, and it does! Staying power is good, I tried using it at work and my eyeshadow stayed in place for a good 8 hrs although the color toned down very little (I have very oily lids).

Overall, I am satisfied with this product and would buy it again if I'm done with my first jar :)

AVON Extra Lasting Eyeliner

I love eyeliners! Pencil, liquid. retractable, waterproof...name it, I think my kikay kit has it! ❤❤❤ me thinks that eyeliners really help out add that "ooomph" in your look.

Let me share with you one of my newest eyeliner acquisitions (lol). It's the Avon Extra Lasting Eyeliner in Shimmering Storm.

Before, I only prefer using black eyeliners but now, I like playing up with colors and experimenting on it. Shimmering Storm shade is metallic blue.

Extralasting Liquid Liner

"Intense color that glides smoothly courtesy of a firm super fine tip with flexibility to help control stability during application. Lasts up hours and comes in 3 colors: Shimmering Black, Shimmering Bronze and Shimmering Storm." (http://avonmines.wordpress.com/2011/08/08/extralasting-makeup-collection/)

If you want a more affordable lasting liquid liner, thi may be what you are looking for. The lasting power is decent for Php 199 (not bad, right?)

The packaging is nice and compact, the actual bottle is shaped like a tower. The consistency is thick, I think you have to shake it a little first because the first time I opened it I felt that it was a little watery. You may also want to wait for a minute or two to let it dry or it will stain your crease ( and its gonne be difficult to remove). Since I have very oily lids, it only lasted for about 3-4 hrs on me.

I like this product, good enough for daily use but still have K-Palette on my number 1 spot. :-)

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour and Long Lash Mascara

Hello Ladies! :) It's Wednesday (hump day) and two more shifts to go 'til weekend :)

I had a fabulous weekend last week as I spent it with one of my closest friends and my youngest son's birthday. Too sad that she'll be leaving and going back to US :( I'll miss you Gina! <3

Gina and I went on make-up shopping at Shangri-La Mall. The original plan was just to "look around" and not buy any make-up but the plan went out of the window when we ended up in Laura Mercier's counter XD. When I decided to buy "only one" piece of make up, I ended up buying two! good grief!!! :D

Let's start with the  Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour, I got the Sapphire shade. Based on Laura Mercier's website:

"Inspired by Laura Mercier's cult classic Caviar Eye Liner, Caviar Stick Eye Colour offers a new technique to enhance the smoky eye look. In a range of eight beautiful shades, this creamy formula provides endless options for a flawless smoky eye. Each convenient stick is long-wearing, transfer- and crease-resistant. The colour glides onto lids and blends easily with a rich colour payoff."

These babies are available in 10 shades (why does the website say 8?) for Php995 each. A little pricey but worth it! It has a creamy texture that is easy to apply and it does really stay in place.Gina had the sales attendant put it on her eyelids to test - she stayed up until 4am, slept with it on and woke up at 8am and baby I tell you that it's still in there! You can either apply it directly or use a brush for more precise application but you have to be fast in blending it because it dries up after a minute or two. If it dries up, it'll be a challenge to blend.

Next if the Laura Mercier Long Lash Mascara in Bleu. Gina and I were about to finalize our purchase then we found this, Gina and I gasped out loud and it's pretty embarrassing :) We fell in love with it at first sight! the mascara is available in 3 shades for Php895 each. Laura Mercier's website describes this beauty as:

Long Lash Mascara extends and precisely separates the thinnest, shortest, hard-to-reach lashes by expertly scooping up and lengthening each lash while delivering just the right amount of product. The perfectly engineered brush, designed to meet Laura’s specifications, dramatically lengthens and defines lashes while enhancing the eyes. An innovative stretch formula lengthens, separates and curls each lash making lashes appear longer in just two strokes.

  • Long-wearing, water-resistant and smudge-proof
  • Contains rich dark pigments to enhance lash colour for maximum drama
  • Clump-free, fiber-free, paraben-free and ophthalmologist tested
  • Suitable for contact lens wearers
  • 0.37 oz./10.6g
What I love about it is it doesn't sting my eyes unlike other mascara's out there. I don't regularly use mascara but I get to use this one every frakkin day. It's easy to apply, doesn't clump and stay's in place too! The color is shocking blue when wet but it turns into dark royal blue when dry. As Laura Mercier said it, it's indeed "Long-wearing, water-resistant and smudge-proof"!

All in all, I am very satisfied with my Laura Mercier haul and would be saving up for their Creme de Pistache Body Butter -- the scent is heavenly yummy!

Yves Rocher Waterproof Eye Pencil - Turqoise

Happy Monday everyone! My 3rd post for this month, yep, trying to pick up the pace here guys :)

For today, I'd like to share with you one of the eyeliners I have been using for the past few months. It's from Yves Rocher, it's their Waterproof Eye pencil in Turqoise (05). I'm am in a Love It and Hate It stand with this eyeliner.

What I love the most is the color! Thank goodness Yves Rocher has them in different colors that are way beyond boring. Their color selection is really great, something to keep you off from the boring black and brown :) it's very pigmented, you get a good color payoff with just 1 swipe. This is recommended if you want your eyes to pop with color.

What I don't like is the staying power :( although Yves Rocher claims this to be Waterproof, it is not smudge proof. I have oily lids and man, whenever I put this on my lids, expect them to be part of my undereye circle after a few hrs ( to think I am in an airconditioned room) . You may have to check after 3 hrs if it has come down from your lids and retouch if necessary. Yep, the picture below is me wearing it on my way home...I look dead beat but the color is still there 😂

The price is Php495, a little pricey for a pencil liner. Another good thing is that you wont need a sharpener for this because its retractable. I just wish they'd stay in place more... 😄

Tony Moly Dear Me Petit Cotton BB Cream

My second post for this month and I'm excited to share with you another Tony Moly gem. It's called Dear Me Petit Cotton BB Cream :)

I have been using this for more than a month now and I like it. I use in exchange of my Shu Uemura Nobara Stick and Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. What I like most about it is the coverage. It's matte finish an it has SPF30 to protect me from the harmful rays of the sun (eh panggabi pala pasok ko sa work! Pak!!!)

The scent is mild and not annoying. The packaging reminds me of baby products because of the blue and white combination. The consistency of the BB cream is not too thick but not too watery...just right and it's easy to blend on the skin.

I am a bit scared of trying BB creams because of the shade, and I always end up with grayish or too whitish face. Deam Me has only one shade available but fret not! It adapts to your skintone, you just need to wait for it to set for a few minutes and you'll see the difference. :)

So far, Tony Moly products has been very good and it didn't aggravate my already acne prone face. I didn't realize that majority of my skincare and make up products came from them!!!

For a price of Php300+ ish, this BB cream is definitely a must buy :)
